A few things motivated me for my workout this morning:
1) new workout clothes with a bit more room for everything that seems to be getting bigger (all my mamas know what I’m talking about!) 2) Sea Bands (the weird bracelet on my wrist!) so far, they are helping with nausea and I am so thankful that Melissa Myers suggested them yesterday. I had them in my medicine cabinet and busted them out yesterday!
3) this growing baby! I know that the reason I am feeling so poorly is because this little one is growing a mile a minute and is getting stronger everyday. And I think that this is the only time in my life where nausea is actually a blessing.
4) My own health and fitness. When I was pregnant with Charlie, I didn’t exercise at all (I thought I was going to like, knock her loose 😜). With Harrison I exercised at least 5 days a week, boring crazy, but more often than not.
And let me tell you, the recovery after those two pregnancies were night and day. I remember feeling like I was hit by a Mack truck after having Charlie; every part of my body hurt. And I can remember being so sore across my shoulders and back.
After my delivery with Harrison I was up, walking around that evening. I was sore, but not to the point I couldn’t move, and my recovery was so much more enjoyable.
To all of my mamas out there who are carrying a little one or who are thinking about expanding that family, labor and delivery will be one of the most amazing br also one of the hardest workouts you will do. So train for it. Do what you can now to make sure your body is ready 🙌🏻🙌🏻
