1.) What does Mindfresh mean to you?
Mindfresh is an important reminder that the things we create and offer to the world are always directly impacted by the way we take care of ourselves. Rushing through our days or falling into burnout in the name of trying to do more often mean we are actually offering less. When we take a mindful moment to care for our body and our breath (the most important and sophisticated hardware and software we'll ever know) we are positively impacting everything we do, and we often find when we come from a place that is grounded and centered, we can offer more while doing less.
2.) Where's the weirdest place you've taken a mindful moment?
I often make it a habit to get up do a series of stretches and gentle yoga on long flights, somewhere in an aisle or in front of the restrooms. I don't find it to be that weird, but when rows and rows of people are watching you, it can feel that way - but I take pride in reminding people of their embodied humanity and normalizing these things.
3.) If you could give someone stressed at work one tip to chill out, what would it be?
Take a 5 minute break to stretch your neck, shoulders, and hands while breathing deep every hour! A little goes a long way. Slowing the breath takes us into a calmer and clearer place, and the stretches increase circulation and blood flow which enhances creative thinking!
